Carolyn E. Peters, a resident of Newton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2012. She was 74.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from the Chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Chaplain Kathy Stumbaugh officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park with Ward Wilson Funeral Home Directing.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Chapel from 1 until 2 P. M. one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mrs. Peters was born in Houston County, Alabama on July 21, 1937, the daughter of Bascum and Gladys Exum. She was of the Baptist faith and lived for the Lord.

 

She was predeceased by her parents and a daughter; Cindy Johnson.

 

Survivors include her daughter; Rhonda Park and husband William of Newton; her son; Ronald Kirkland and wife Shirley of Webb.

Granddaughter; Casey Knight and husband Josh of Headland and two precious great grand daughters; Tayler and Allie Knight.

Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will truly miss her.
