CAROLYN FRANCES MATHIS MURRAY

ABBEVILLE…. Carolyn Frances Mathis Murray, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Monday morning, March 8, 2021, while under the care of Henry County Health & Rehab. She was 88.

            Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Oakey Grove Baptist Church, with Reverend Shirley Hatcher officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. before the service. Burial will follow in the Oakey Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            Mrs. Murray was born in Dale County, Alabama to the late Amon Mathis and Maudie Erie Avant Mathis. She was a graduate of Headland High School and worked with Ansel Corporation, where she later retired.

            Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Davis Murray.

            Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kaye Brock (Bruce) of Abbeville; her son, Keith Murray (Jana) of Abbeville; her daughter, Sonia Bush (Jerome) of Abbeville; her 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
