Catherine Ann Fancher Roy, 78, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, January 17, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday prior to service time. Flowers are being accepted.

Mrs. Roy was born January 4, 1942 in Staten Island, New York to Walter and  Frances Fancher and lived the early years of her life there. She later moved to Flemington, New Jersey where she graduated from Hunderton Central High School in 1960. In the early ‘70s, her family moved to Esto, Florida where she resided for several years. She also lived in Riverside, California before moving to Dothan in 1979. She was employed with Swedish Match Cigar Factory for 30 years prior to her retirement.

Mrs. Roy loved thrifting and antiquing and worked at Sadie’s Flea Market for 15 years. She also enjoyed cooking, the Rose Hill Senior Citizens Center and volunteered at Southeast Health Medical Center. She was a member of Harvest  Church.

She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Roy and her brother, Walter Edward Fancher.

She is survived by two children, Rick Coddington and his wife, Carol of Newville and Susan Starr of Dothan; a sister, Virginia Fancher Ianuzzi of Mesa, Arizona.
