Cecil Huston Stafford of Westville, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at his home. He was 100 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with Rev. Curt McCollough officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Huston was born in Holmes County, FL on October 26, 1922 to the late George Wilmer and Erma Ethel Pittman Stafford. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army. Huston enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He was a die hard Florida Gator Football Fan.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Stafford; four brothers, Coy, Felton, Bill, and Elton Ray “Bud” Stafford.

Huston is survived by one daughter, Betty J. Stafford of Westville, FL; one son, Johnny Stafford (Glenda) of Westville, FL; two grandsons, Russell “Rusty” Stafford, and Andrew “Andy” Stafford (Lee) all of Westville, FL; one great-grandson, Easton Blake Stafford of Westville, FL, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Fran Scott and Marilyn Clark for their devoted love and care.
