Celisa Michelle “Lisa” Parrish Powell of Geneva, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was 52 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Branch and Rev. Ricky Hall   officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in Lisa’s memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

Lisa was born in Walton County, FL on February 28, 1971, to the late Curtis Lamar “Butch” Parrish and Mary Helen Redmon Parrish. Lisa enjoyed going to church, playing games, and participating in beauty pageants. One of her proudest moments came in 2013 when she was selected as the Wiregrass Rehabilitation and Nursing Home Beauty Queen. She also enjoyed shopping, eating out with friends, listening to the Oak Ridge Boys, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Powell.

She is survived by her sister, Tracy Simmons (Harold) of Ft. Meade, FL; step-mother, Mary Lou Parrish of Samson, AL; two step-brothers, Johnny Mock (Chery) of Bellwood, AL, and Jamie Mock of Samson, AL; nieces and nephews, Autumn Simmons, Harold “Trey” Simmons, III (Michayla), Brittany Howerton, Megan Mock, and Heather Mock; many special aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews on the Redmon side of her family; and a very special friend, Rita Stuckey.
