Cephus Edmonson, 91, a resident of Dothan, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 26,2020. He was born on November 12, 1928 in Houston County to the late Wyatt Edmonson and Eunice (Burmun) Edmonson.


Graveside services will take place at 1 PM, Monday, June 29, 2020 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.


Cephus was a true man of God, who loved his family dearly. He was an avid Alabama Fan.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Clifton, Monroe, and Wallace Edmonson; and sister: Agnes Lanton.


Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years: Myra (High) Edmonson; children: Eunice Edmonson, Wendell Edmonson, Kay Thames, and Steaven (Laura) Edmonson; sisters: Dean Sheffield, Faye Kirkland, and Glenda Dees; grandchildren: Melinda (Jason) Glover, Leann (Matthew) Smith, Kimberly (Corey) Raybon, and Bradley Edmonson; five great-grandchildren, and several loving nephews, nieces, and family  members.
