Charles “Charlie” Knowles of Enterprise died Tuesday, September 1, 2020.  He was 79.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise.  Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.

Charlie was born December 18, 1940 to the late Hubert and Nell Knowles.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Knowles and Bill Knowles; and sister, Barbara Ann Veazey.  He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed fishing, boating, law enforcement and the military.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Geri Knowles of Enterprise, AL; daughters, Mary Ann Knowles McAfee (Greg) of Acworth, GA and Cathy Lynn Knowles Haufler (Keith) of Huntsville, AL; sister-in-law, Billie Knowles; brother-in-law, Donald Veazey; and grandchildren, Hunter McAfee, Hayden McAfee, Austin Haufler and Amber Haufler.
