Acie Brooks

 

Charles “Acie” Brooks, a resident of Ft. Myers, FL, died at his home in Florida Friday, November 11, 2011. He was 48.

 

Memorial services will be held 12 noon Monday, November 14, 2011 at Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

 

Acie was born July 5, 1963 in Mobile, Alabama and was a graduate of Cottondale High School. He resided in Atlanta for several years before moving to South Florida. He was very artistic and was employed as a free-lance computer engineer. Acie especially loved the outdoors and all of his nieces and nephews. He was a loving person and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

 

Acie is survived by a special friend, Jarsoslav of Ft. Myers, FL; his mother, Sue Conrad of Webb; his father and step-mother, Jimmy Charles and Angela Brooks of Selma, AL; a brother, David Brooks of Monroe, NC; a sister, Traci Jones of Chipley, FL; two step-brothers, Earl Irwin of Selma and Bruce Irwin, of Enterprise; a step-sister, Krystal Harris of Selma; several nieces and nephews; four great nieces and nephews.
