CHARLES CLYDE CUNNINGHAM

DOTHAN, AL… Charles Clyde Cunningham a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Tuesday morning, January 17, 2023, at a Dothan hospital. He was 96.

          Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Dothan City Cemetery with Dennis Drake speaking. The family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mr. Cunningham was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Clyde Raymond Cunningham and Girlie Brannon Cunningham. He lived his entire life in Dothan, Alabama. He was a 1944 graduate of Dothan High School. He worked and retired as a captain with the Dothan Fire Department in 1972. He also retired from Adams Beverages in 1985. He was a member of Greystone United Methodist Church in Dothan, Alabama. He was an avid fisherman.

          Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kim H. (Rooster) Ethridge.

          Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife, Billie Nichols Cunningham; his daughters, Patricia McAllister and Tami Ethridge (Earl Jones); and his granddaughter, Courtney Ethridge Maddox (Ken Berrentine).
