Mr. Charles David Burch, age 68 of Black, AL passed away on September 6, 2022 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with the Reverend Zachary Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitewater cemetery in Holmes County, FL with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

David was born to Burdine Moses and Marjorie Burch on October 23, 1953 in the Thurston Community of Holmes County, Florida. He was a graduate of Bethlehem High School Class of 1971. He went on to join the Air Force and received an associate degree in business management. Mr. Burch retired from Reliable Products/Johnson Controls after working his way up to plant manager.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Sandra Phillips, and Janice Slaughter; and one brother, Bruce Allen Burch.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nadine Burch of Black, AL; three sons, Chris Burch (Renee) of Dothan, AL, Mike Dodson (Ranae) of Graceville, FL and Charley Lewis (Kelsey) of Geneva, AL; six grandchildren, Zachary Dodson (Sara), Kristi Helms (Clancy) all of Geneva, AL, Seth Lewis, Ashlynn Lewis both of Black, AL, Jeremy McGowan (Samantha) of El Paso, TX, and Kaitlyn Crosby (Justin) of Samson, AL; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Jerry Burch of Bonifay, FL; three sisters, Judy Lee (Roy) of the Bethlehem Community, FL, Cathy Trammell (Thomas) of Westville, FL, and Rhonda Shiver (Louie) of Geneva, AL; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. David will truly be missed by all of us that loved him so much.
