Charles “Earl” Johnson of Enterprise passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.  He was 79.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Reverend Mike Medley, Reverend Joey Johnson and Reverend Joel Snell officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Kinston with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until time of service.  Masks and social distancing will be required to attend these events.

Earl was born September 1, 1941 to the late Ollie and Jessie Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Earvel Johnson.  He was an avid truck driver for over 47 years and continued driving for local dealerships after his retirement.  Earl loved having conversations and never met a stranger.   

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Patricia Johnson of Enterprise, AL; daughter, Sandy Henderson (Daniel) of New Brockton, AL; sons, Joey Johnson (Brooke) of Flomaton, AL and Nick Johnson (Leona) of Enterprise, AL; sister, Mary Francis Fox (Vernon) of New Brockton, AL; brothers, Robert Johnson (Linda) of Anniston, AL and Jerry Johnson (Lois) of Brantley, AL; grandchildren:  Lee Wooten (Whitney), DJ Henderson, Maleah Daughtry (Jaylan), Braydon Johnson, Kaylan Johnson and Hayden Thomas; great-granddaughter, Layla Daughtry; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
