Charles  “Gene” Bolen

Charles “Gene” Bolen, age 77 of Pinckard, departed this life on Friday, August 28, 2020, at his home in Pinckard, following a brief illness, under the care of Covenant Hospice.

At the request of the family, Family First Funeral Care will provide a Simple Cremation and a graveside memorial will take place at a later date.

Mr. Bolen honorably served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy and later retired from the State of Georgia, Department of Corrections. He was also of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Clifton Bolen. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elfriede New Bolen; a brother, Joe Bolen; two sons, Conner Bolen and Justin Bolen; five grandchildren also survive.
