DOTHAN. . .Charles Max Morris, II, a resident of Dothan, died Monday morning, February 14 2022, at his home. He was 49.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 17, 2022, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mike Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.

Charles Morris was a lifelong resident Dothan and was a graduate of Dothan High School. He was retired, due to disability, from Winn-Dixie as a Manager. Charles formerly played the drums in several area bands. While in high school, he was the lead drummer and percussionist.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Wendy Edmondson Morris, two daughters, Lanie Morris and Jordan Morris, his mother, Shirley Hughes (Ronnie), his father, Max Morris, all of Dothan; and a granddaughter on the way, a sister, Lisa Merritt (Jerry), Dothan; a sister in law, Jennifer Tidwell (David), a niece Leigha Tidwell, two nephews, Lance Tidwell (Lauren) and Justin Tidwell ( Cassidy) .
