Charles Woodrow “Pete” Petersen age 74 of Geneva, AL, passed away Tuesday, March 01, 2022 at his home.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Pete was born on November 20, 1947 in Springfield, IL to the late Paul James, Sr. and Loretta June Carnduff Petersen. He retired after many years as a truck driver, a profession that he dearly enjoyed. He was passionate about his truck driving which made it more than a job. He was also a skilled auto mechanic and avid antique car enthusiast. Pete enjoyed watching football, especially the San Francisco 49er’s.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Paul James Petersen, Jr. and one sister, Jacqueline Petersen.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Linda Petersen, Geneva, AL; three children, Tammy Tullos, Dothan, AL, Kevin Best (Rebecca), Hartford, AL, Crystal McCall (Doug), Coffee Springs, AL; six grandchildren, John Russo, Jessie Russo (Sierra), Paige Reeves, Alora McCall, Turner Best and Sarah Best; three great-grandchildren, Hayden Zorn, Wyatt Russo and Kennedy Thomas; one sister, Myra Hughes of Arkansas and one brother, Perry Petersen (Janet) of Springfield, IL.
