Cheryl Renee Floyd, 60, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on August 29, 1961, in Pensacola, Florida to the late Rigdon Barnes and Betty (Jones) Barnes.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at  2 PM, Monday , February 21, 2022, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. There will be no public visitation.

Cheryl was a loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Corey Abercrombie.

Survivors include her sons, Brad Abercrombie, and Chad Abercrombie, grandson, Cole Abercrombie, brother, Carey (Frankie) Barnes, a nephew, nieces, several cousins, best friend, Amie Pollard, her Thursday dinner friends, and many other special friends and co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to be made to the local animal shelter in Cheryl’s name.
