CHRISTINE  RONEY  BEASLEY

TUMBLETON COMMUNITY. . .Christine Roney Beasley, a resident of the Tumbleton Community of Henry County, died early Saturday morning, June 22, 2019, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville. She was 95.

            Funeral services will be held at 5:30 P.M. Monday, June 24, 2019, in the Balkum Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Chestnut officiating. Burial will follow in the Balkum Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 5:30 P.M. Monday in the church sanctuary.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Balkum Baptist Church, c/o Kathryn Culp, 277 County Road 26, Headland, AL36345
            Mrs. Beasley was born and reared in Newville, daughter of the late Willie Hugh Roney and Ludie Stephens Roney. She lived most of her adult lifetime in the Balkum Community. Mrs. Beasley was a member of the Balkum Baptist Church, the W. M. U. and served as church secretary and G. A. Leader for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Beasley, a sister, Faye Roney Ethridge and a brother, Bruce Roney.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Bobbie Beasley Shelley (Billy Alfred); and a son, Terry Beasley (Coleen), all of Headland; a sister, Sarah McKnight, Dothan; four grandchildren, Lance Beasley (Michelle), Keith Beasley (Leanne), Jamey Shelley (Jori) and Christa Harris (Jason); ten great-grandchildren, five great-greatgrandchildren.
