Christopher Day Simmons of Samson, AL passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Wiregrass Medical Center. He was 46 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in Leddon Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Chris was born on October 25, 1973. Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and watching movies. He was the prankster and joker of the family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Simmons; the mother of his sons, Christy Simmons; grandparents, Esker and Viola Simmons and James and Mary Grant.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Dawson of Samson, AL; two sons, Ethan Simmons (Olivia) of Samson, AL and Grant Simmons (Madison) of Samson, AL; father, Jimmy Simmons of Geneva, AL; two sisters, Marsha Aughtman (Scott) of Geneva, AL and Alicia Marsh (Kerry) of Samson, AL; one niece, Courtney Zelensky (Adam); six nephews, Brandon Davis, Matthew Aughtman, Zachary Marsh, Bryce Marsh, Michael Marsh and Kris Marsh; three great-nephews, Sawyer Fain, Wyatt Maynor, and Layton Davis; special cousins, Scotty Troublefield (Sheri), Jamie Troublefield (Amy) and Paula Russ; and many more cousins; special aunts, Marjorie Thomas and Cheryl Delvalle (Mike); and many more aunts and uncles.
