Christy Leigh Henderson Bridges, a resident of Taylor, passed away Thursday morning, February 11, 2021, at her residence. She was 57.

 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2021, at Mt. Enon Baptist Church with and Reverend Tim Wheeler and Reverend Don Tew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Monday prior to service time. Flowers are being accepted or contributions may be made to Mt. Enon Baptist Church “Building Fund”, 3167 Iris Road, Dothan, AL 36301. Services will be live-streamed on the Mount Enon Baptist Church Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MEBCDothan.  

 

Christy was born September 23, 1963, in Portsmouth, Virginia to David Wayne Henderson and Patricia Ann Holmes. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and anything outdoors. She also enjoyed flying with her husband and was very supportive of all of his hobbies. Christy loved spending time with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy! She was an avid Alabama fan, ROLL TIDE! She was a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church.

 

Christy is predeceased by her husband of twenty-one years who died the day before their 21st wedding anniversary which was February 10.

 

Christy is survived by her mother Patricia Norton of Webb; three children, Dustin Blair (Stephanie), Tori Le (Tony) and Chase Blair, all of Dothan; a step-son, Colby Bridges (Jennifer) of Echo; six grandchildren, Caden Blair, Carter Blair, Annaleigh Wells, Ava Blair, Hayden Layke Bridges, and Lauren Abigail Bridges; two brothers, David Henderson (Trina) of Webb and Wil Norton of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Cheri Carrington of Dothan; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Active pallbearers will be Dustin Blair, Chase Blair, Caden Blair, David Henderson, Paul Jones, and Tony Le.
