Christy Nicole Dodd, a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister passed peacefully on the evening of Tuesday April 16, 2024, due to an extended illness. She was surrounded by her husband and family with nothing but love and laughter in her final moments. She was 40.


 


Christy was a native of St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Ozark Alabama during her childhood. She attended Carroll High School and then received her Cosmetology license from Wallace Community College. Christy was beautiful and loved sharing her talent with hair and makeup with others to make them feel beautiful as well. Christy later became the operations manager at Aubree Jo’s Furniture in Dothan where she was loved by all her customers and left a lasting impression on anyone she met.


 


Christy had a love for cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Her love for being a mother to Makenzey and Collins was by far the greatest thing in her life. Anyone who had the opportunity to know Christy got to experience her one-of-a-kind personality and infectious laugh.


 


Christy is preceded in death by her father, Craig Allen Manley. Her grandparents, George and Donna Johnson and Gerald and Shirley Matt.


 


Surviving relatives include her husband, David Dodd; Her daughters, Makenzey and Collins Winn; Her stepsons Gage and Isaac Dodd; Mother, Lori Stephens (Ken); Her siblings, Casey Masters (Alicia), Brandon Manley (Lindsay), Stacey Perry (Matt), Kaitlyn Worley (Randy), Craig Manley (Devan). The father of her children, Derek Winn. She had many nieces and nephews that she loved so much.


 


A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
