Claude “Tug” Lamar Cook









Claude “Tug” Lamar Cook, a resident of Dothan, passed away on December 31, 2020. He was 94.


Mr. Cook was born in Newton, Alabama where he spent the early years of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a WWII Veteran. Mr. Cook was employed as an Auto Mechanic in southern California for several years prior to his retirement. In 1989, he moved to Dothan and resided here for the past 31 years. Mr. Cook was a member of Evergreen Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and water sports such as, fishing and skiing in Santa Barbara, California. Mr. Cook will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.


He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Doris Cook; his son, Mark Steven Cook; his granddaughter, Christina Mattisin; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Ann Cook; and several nieces and nephews.
