Claudia Moody, a resident of Dothan passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 at her residence. She was 55 years old.

The family will receive friends at Watermark Church Chapel from 2pm-4pm CST Friday August 24, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Libby’s Light Shines, P.O. Box 10557, Dothan, AL 36304.

Claudia was born September 23, 1962 in Montgomery, AL and lived the early part of her life there. She was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School and spent several years raising her children as a dedicated homemaker prior to her college education. She later graduated with honors from John Patterson Technical College with a degree in Office Administration and worked with the Bankruptcy Court Chapter 13 Trustee’s Office for several years. Claudia resided in Equality, AL near Lake Martin prior to moving to Dothan in 2014, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was a great mother and an outstanding “Grammy.” She loved to cook for her family and enjoyed reading as well as spending time pursuing all sorts of water sports (swimming, water skiing, etc.) on Lake Martin. She was preceded in death by her mother, Charla Joyce Moody.

Survivors include her children, Kevin Wayne (Jena) Naramore and Katie Marie (Joe) Cochran; grandchildren, Kinley and Kent Cochran, Emma and Ella Naramore; her father, Stewart (Linda) Moody; sisters and brothers, Charla (Wesley) Stephenson, Lynette (Lonnie) Burkey, Tonya Benefield, Taran Seymour, Tamra Marsh, Raymond (Cindy) Jacques and Travis (Lynn) Jacques; nieces and nephews, Jessica Baker, Jason (Adrian) Baker, Jamie (Aubie) Maples, Stewart Burkey, Amy Stephenson and Jenna Stephenson; several great nieces and nephews; dear friends, Elaine and Tim Clark.
