Mr. Christopher Clay Lewis, age 56, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Aaron Dickinson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ashford City Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.

 The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm on Thursday prior to services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fostering Hope, 17965 U.S. Hwy 431, Headland, AL, 36345.

Clay was born on May 11, 1966, in Dothan and was a lifelong resident of Dothan.  He was a 1984 Dothan High School Graduate.  Clay worked as a inside salesman with Brackin Paint and Supply for 37 years. He was a born again Christian and a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church in Dothan.  Clay loved Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball, he especially loved his family and was very passionate about foster care and adoption.

Clay is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Frances Whatley Vardamaskos.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Wendy Lewis, Dothan; 2 daughters, Crystal Lee (Ross) and Jessica Lewis, both of Dothan; a son, Cody Lewis (Jordan), Huntsville; 3 grandchildren, Meredith, Christopher and Gray Lee, all of Dothan; 2 brothers, Ricky Lewis and Jay Lewis (Rhonda) both of Dothan; special aunt, Margaret Howard (Billy), Ashford.

Pallbearers will be: Lucas Wasson, Lance Wasson, Heath Lee, Danny McLean, Jerome (J.J.) Jackson and Rickey Jones.
