Clayton Royce Jones, 83, passed away August 1, 2012, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

 

Funeral services will be held at Taylor Assembly of God Church on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 10 A.M. with Reverends Kenneth Martin, Alice Burdeshaw, and Addis Habbard officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 P.M. Friday, August 3, 2012. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mr. Jones was born on September 12, 1928, in Houston County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Jones. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and attended Taylor Assembly of God. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated Economy Auto Sales in Dothan, Alabama.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Jones, and one sister, Nell Sizemore.

 

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Ruth Jones, a son Mike Jones (Fran) Dothan, AL; 3 step-children, Lynda Faulk (LaDerle), Bainbridge, GA; Mike Cole, Panama City Beach, FL; Chris Cole (Sherry), Deltona Beach, FL; grandchildren, Andy Jones, Brandee Dupree (Chris), Brandon Fellows, Eric Cole, Jamie Cole, Colby Jarrod and Savannah Cole, 6 great-grandchildren, one sister, Betty Sizemore, and several nieces and nephews.
