Cleveland A. Danley of Samson, AL passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at his residence. He was 89 years old.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021  in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home, with Minister Harry O Adkison officiating. Burial will follow in the Dannelley Cemetery with military and masonic rights. Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva will be directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.


Cleveland was born in Geneva County, AL  to the late Chottaw and Nancy Elizabeth Adams Danley. Mr. Danley proudly served his country in the US Army where he fought in the Korean War. Mr. Danley was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed quail hunting, fishing and was a friend to all.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Quinley Danley; son-in-law, Jim Mathis; one sister, Juanita Fulford; and one brother, Wayland Eudon Danley.


Mr. Danley is survived by his children, Sonny Danley (Janet) of Daleville, AL, Tonora Mathis of Coffee Springs, AL, and Stacy Danley (Arlene) of Samson, AL; one sister, Valinda Lolley of Samson, AL; three brothers, Roger Danley (Merlene) of Samson, AL, Bobby Danley (Betty Sue) of Hacoda, AL, and Jacky Danley (Susan) of Hacoda, AL; seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild,  many nieces, nephews, and friends.


Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Andy Danley, Tony Danley, Casey Moore, Zach Dodson, Eric Duncan and Matt Haller.
