Colby Money age 29, of Headland, Al passed away to be with the Lord on April 23, 2023. Colby considered his hometown to be Ashford, AL. Funeral service will be Monday, May 1, 2023, 12:00 p.m. at Family First Funeral Care Chapel with Brother Michael Ward officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church of Shorterville, Al.
Colby was born November 7, 1993 to Jamie Money and Crissy Adams. He followed in his Daddy’s footsteps as a roofer. Colby and his Daddy were best friends and shared the love of fishing. When Colby wasn’t working or spending time with his daughter, he was on the river bank.
He had a special bond with all of his siblings, but his baby sister Brooklyn was one of his best friends. Whoever knew Colby was lucky to have known him. He was caring and loved his family and friends. He was funny and could always make you laugh. To his friends, he loved each and every one of you. You all know who you are. Thank you all for being there for him.
Colby was preceded in death by a grandfather James Herbert Eddins; great grandmother Ruby Nell Hardy; great uncles Tony Hardy, Ricky Hardy, Jerry Money; great aunt Mary Money; a best friend D.J. (Danny) Brown.
Survivors include his daughter McKenzie (Kenzie) Money that he loved with all of his heart, (Brittany Presnell); parents Jamie (Loralee) Money, Crissy (Collie) Wiley; sister Brooklyn (Julius) Saunders; brother Jamie Money, Jr; step-brother Kaleb Price; grandparents Freddie and Marilyn Money, Cynthia Thompson, Frankie and Linda Price, Kem (Gator) and Evonne Garrett; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chris Hand, Shane Watson, D.J. Delegal, Brent Lisenby, Chris McCray, Joey Hobbs, Seth Kirkland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Autism Support of Alabama PO Box 661304 Birmingham, AL 35266. Autism awareness held a special place because of his step-brother Kaleb.
