Connie Rudd, a resident of Gordon, died Friday, December 23, 2022 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. She was 68.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00, Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church in Cowarts with Reverend Scotty Hatcher officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Connie was born April 9, 1954 in Madison, Georgia to Carl Allen and Lillie Bell Sims and lived the early years of her life there. She graduated high school in Columbus, GA and later in life she returned to school to become a nurse.  She has been a resident of Houston County for 20 years. Connie was employed as a nurse at Southeast Health for 29 years. Connie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lillie Bell Sims, sister, Vicky Walker, and her husband, Rodney Earl Rudd who died on December 5, 2022.

Survivors include three sons, Daryl Crawford of Lanett, Danny Crawford (Paulette) of Auburn and Allen Rudd of Gordon; and brothers, Carl Allen Sims (Angie) of Rutledge, Georgia, Mike Petry (Christine) of Ashland; and 7 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews; and dear friends Tracy and Randy Linville.
