Cora Jean Perkins

Cora Jean Perkins, age 92 of Dothan, passed away Sunday, September 26,2021 at Southeast Health following a brief illness.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Perkins will be held Friday, October 1, 2021, 2p.m. in the chapel of Family First Funeral Care, visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.

Cora was born January 11, 1929 in High Springs, Florida to Harley Leroy Chapin and Mable Amy Kidney. Mrs. Perkins worked at GTE as a telephone operator for many years. She enjoyed bird watching and crossword puzzles. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dothan and sang in the choir.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick George Perkins; a son Terry Martin Perkins. She is survived by a son Freddy Perkins (Faye), daughter Melanie Perkins; grandchildren Adam Perkins (Rita), Chris Perkins, Kevin Perkins and William Perkins (Carol); six great grandchildren.
