Marie Cornelia Orme Faulk, 86, went home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2021 at her residence in Geneva, Alabama.


Preceded in death by her parents Ewell Cornelius and Myrtline Kirkpatrick Orme, her husband of 59 years, Tim S. Faulk and her son, Timothy Stuart Faulk.


She is survived by her son, Pratt Faulk, daughter-in-law, Donna Kelley Faulk; three grandchildren, Natalie Tarra Wurst (Tony), Amanda Shea Faulk and Adam Cornelius Faulk (Jennifer).


Cornelia graduated from Troy High School, and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and the University of Alabama. The greatest love in her life was the Lord and she spent over 50 years of her life teaching Sunday School at the First Baptist in Geneva where she also served as director Martha Ellis Circle of the First Baptist Church of Geneva, WMU who fondly dedicate their 2015 cookbook in her honor. Very active in her community, she was a member of the Geneva Woman’s Club where she was selected “Woman of the Year” in 1973 and 1999. She will be lovingly remembered by her lifelong service to the community.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Geneva with Reverend Dr. Edwin Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
