CSM (Ret.) Grant J. McBee passed away on October 28, 2012 at Flowers Hospital after a long illness.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 2, 2012 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with a military Chaplain officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time.

A career Army Veteran, he served in World War II, Vietnam and later retired to the Enterprise area.  While serving his country he traveled extensively in the United States and overseas.

Born in Harlan County, Kentucky in 1929, the son of a coal miner, he joined the Army at 17.  To all those who knew my dad please keep us in your thoughts, but know he has joined my mom at last.  They grew up together and after 52 years of marriage, wars and long seperations, they are forever together in the arms of our Lord.

He is survived by his daughter, Peggy McBee, Enterprise; foster daughter, Beth Judson, Enterprise; granddaughter, Shannon Sweeney; brother, Charles McBee, Decatur, AL; sister, Mildred Barr, Nashville, TN, as well as all his friends and Army buddies.  I shall miss him, but he is with the love of his life now.
