Mrs. Cupiedeen Rogers Clower, born in the Chestnut Grove Community in Coffee County to Pitman Rogers and Lovie (Crenshaw) Rogers, on September 20, 1927. She lived her early years there.


She married Daniel Clanton Clower Jr. in 1944 in the Chestnut Grove Community. Cupiedeen moved with her husband to several Air Force Bases, during World War II. A few years later they moved to Dothan for Dan to begin working for the Singer Sewing Machine Company. She accompanied him for 43 years working for the Singer Company.


Cupiedeen made sure to go back to Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church when she was able. She was currently a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church, the adult Sunday School Class and Circle of Joy United Methodist Women. She was a member of Auxiliary member of Gideon International and a member of Taylor Senior Citizens.


She always loved “being there” for her family.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Pitman Rogers and Lovie (Crenshaw) Rogers; husband, Daniel Clanton Clower Jr., and sister, Jeanette Moorehouse.


Survivors include daughter, Deborah Street (Randy); son, Dr. Daniel C. Clower III; grandchildren, Jennifer Street Holland (Chris), Amy Chambless (Jeff), James Patrick Street and his fiancé (Anna Armstrong); great-grandchildren, Emma Kay Holland, John Chambless, Emmit Chambless, and Joseph Chambless; and several nieces and nephews.


Graveside services will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Chestnut Grove Community Cemetery at 2:30 PM with visitation 30 minutes prior.


Memorial contributions can be made to Piney Grove UMC or Chestnut Grove UMC in Cupiedenn's  memory.
