   CW3 Wayne Everrson Dust (United States Army, Retired), a resident of Ozark died Friday afternoon September 22, 2023 in Flowers Hospital following an extended illness. He was 75 years old.


   Funeral services for CW3 Dust will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 28, 2023, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Chad Ingle officiating. Interment will follow with Full Military Honors in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark from 10:00 A.M. until service time.


   CW3 Dust was born September 4, 1948 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to the late William Edward Dust and Daisy Kathrine McCluskey Dust. Wayne was a decorated United States Army Veteran who served in Vietnam and spent 20 years active duty as an Observation Aeromedical Evacuation Pilot and Aviation Maintenance Technician. Wayne was awarded the Purple Heart and Vietnam Humanitarian Medal.


   He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and his furbabies: Fred, Lady and Duke. Wayne was an avid Alabama fan.


   He is survived by his wife, Donna Dust; and his children: Pamela Dust, Wayne Dust (Ricci), William Dust (Kate), and Marvin Smith (Kim). He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren: Zachery, Bianca, James, Amber, Branden, Kara, Jordan, Ella, Jessica and Spencer.
