Dan Leslie Reed, a resident of Dothan, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his residence. He was 76.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Kocsis officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Navigators at Navigators.org.

Mr. Reed was born March 8, 1945 in Kewanee, Illinois and lived the early years of his life there. He was a graduate of Toulon High School in Toulon, Illinois and  attended the University of South Alabama where he received his B.S. in Social Studies and his Master’s in counseling. He later attended Ball State University where he received his Master’s in Business Administration. He served his country in the

U. S. Marines for six years and was the recipient of numerous medals including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Mr. Reed was employed as an instruction specialist with Civil Service for 35 years. He was a  member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is predeceased by his parents, Lawrence Herbert Reed and Sadie Adela Trout Reed and a sister, Lavonne.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Faye Lowry Reed of Dothan; a daughter, Michele Reed of Dothan; two sons, Leslie William Reed of Tallahassee, FL and Andrew Jacob Reed of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Kelly Reed of San Diego, CA and Donna Tisl                    of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
