Danah Jo Johnson of Chancellor passed away Monday, June 29, 2020. She was 40 years old.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

 

Danah was born in Opp, AL on June 11, 1980. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was a hard worker, and always provided for her children.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Leon Sanders, and O’Neal Johnson; grandmother, Bertha Johnson; aunt, Wanda Austin, uncle, Mark Johnson; cousin, Celeste Ward; and father-in-law, Roy Hilliard.

 

She is survived by five daughters, Shaunda Yeomans, Haley Jones, Heaven Johnson, Gemecia Smith, and Gemacionna Smith; one step-daughter, Deborah Bolden; husband, Jamie Hamilton Johnson; father, Ricky O’Neal Johnson, Sr (Tammie); mother, Cynthia Cardwell (Jerome); two grandchildren, Shaonna Dillow, and Ki’Juan Ward; four step- grandchildren, Lativia Sconiers, Jeremy Jones, Timothy Jones, and Nicholas Jones; grandmother, Geraldine Sanders; three sisters, Brandy Torres, Jamie Cardwell, and Brandie Cardwell; four brothers, Shane Johnson, Ricky O’Neal Johnson, Jr, Jeremy Johnson, and Jeffery Bolin; aunt, Charlene Johnson; uncles, Ricky and Mark Sanders; mother-in-law, Julia Hilliard; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
