DOTHAN. . .Daniel Alan “Dan” Edwards, a resident of Dothan, died early Thursday morning, November 3, 2022, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident which occurred on Eddins Road, near Dothan.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 1:00 P.M. (EST), Monday, November 7, 2022, in the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Alabama. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gary Sinise Foundation, PO Box 40726, Nashville, TN 37204.

Dan Edwards was a lifelong resident of Houston County and was a 2004 graduate of Rehobeth High School. He served his country in the Army National Guard and was activated to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dan was formerly employed in the Maritime Industry and was currently operating a fishing charter at Mexico Beach, Florida.

Surviving relatives include a son, Ryder Alan Edwards, Madrid, AL; his parents, Alan and Geri Edwards, Dothan; a sister, Amanda Flathmann, Nashville, TN; a brother, James J. Edwards, Ashford, AL; a niece, Micah Granger; several cousins and many friends.
