Danny Watkins of Enterprise, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Flowers Hospital.  He was 81.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 5, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Hubert McWaters officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time.

Danny was the owner of Storekeeper Electronics and CB.  Everyone knew him by the CB handle “Storekeeper”.  He served as President of the Kiwanis Club, President of the Pinedale PTO and was Vice-President of IAM 2003 Union.  He also served in the US Army and US Army Reserve for 15 years.

Danny was preceded in death by a brother, James Watkins; 2 sisters, Jane Griffiths and Luci Boring; nephews, Lee Lankford and Wade Griffiths.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Martha Carr Watkins, Enterprise, AL;  2 daughters, Karen Johnson, Enterprise, AL, Crystal Strickland (Michael), Enterprise, AL; 3 grandchildren, Brittany Jones (Spencer), Enterprise, AL, Brian Ammons, Birmingham, Chase Strickland, Enterprise, AL; 2 great-grandchildren, Linkon Jones and Emery Jones; brother, Dennis Watkins (Debbie), Panama City, FL; several nieces and nephews.
