DARRELL FLUCKER

KINSEY… Darrell Flucker, a resident of Kinsey, Alabama, passed away Friday morning, January 19, 2024, at Graceville Health Center. He was 62.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Tony Kingsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mr. Flucker was born in Ft. Gaines, Georgia to the late Grady Calvin Flucker, Sr. and Eliza Mae Reynolds Flucker. He lived his entire life in Abbeville, Alabama before moving to Kinsey, Alabama two years ago. He was a 1981 graduate of Abbeville High School. He worked with West Point Stevens until its closing. He served as a volunteer with the  Foster Grandparent Program of Southeast, Alabama, at Slingluff Elementary School in Dothan, Alabama, where he was affectionately known as “Granpa”. He was a member of the St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Abbeville, Alabama.

          Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Rrandon Flucker; his brothers, Calvin C. Flucker, Grady C. Flucker, Jr., Thomas Wayne Flucker, and Terry Earl Flucker; and his sister, Deloris Flucker.

          Leaving to cherish his memories are his sons, Carlos Flucker (Patricia) and Brandon Flucker (Brandy); his sisters, Wanda Flucker Isabelle (Russell), Danita Gail Flucker, and Hazeleva West; his grandchildren, Karlos Flucker and Tyler Danzey; and a host of nieces and nephews.

          Serving as active pallbearers will be Bob Lingo, Torris Flucker, Corey Cortner, Rasheed Flucker, Decorey Bradley, and Al West.
