Darryl Royce Wise of Samson, AL passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021. He was 59 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made in Darryl’s memory to Piney Grove Baptist Church, 709 John H Day Road, Samson, AL 36477.

Darryl was born in Geneva, AL on September 6, 1961 to the late Royce and Edna Sue Redmon Wise.  Darryl loved showing horses, woodworking, Auburn Football, and watching Dale Earnhardt race. His family, especially his grandchildren, were his heart. He never came to visit them without bringing them “goodies” from the store. Darryl will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, and his family takes comfort in knowing that he trusted and loved the Lord with all his heart.

Darryl is survived by one daughter, Hannah Wise Ward (Hunter) of Geneva, AL; one son, Spencer Wise (Lauren) of Homewood, AL; five grandchildren, Walker, Christian, and Ascher Ward all of Geneva, AL,  Harmon and Foster Wise both of Homewood, AL; two brothers, Rayburn “Monty” Wise (Brandi) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Sloan Wise of Samson, AL; one nephew, Joshua Wise; two nieces, Reyanna Wise, and Kelsi Wilson;  many great nieces and nephews; and his beloved, Gina Wise of Geneva, AL.
