KINSEY…David Arthur Hagler, a resident of Kinsey, went to be with his Lord, January 3, 2021, at his home. He was 93.

   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in the Kinsey Baptist Church with Reverend Brad Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kinsey Baptist Church, 6745 Walden Drive, Kinsey, AL 36303 or to the Southeast Health “Critical Care Unit”, 1108 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, AL 36301.

   David Hagler was born in Newton and moved to Wicksburg as a teenager, son of the late Buford Clyde Hagler, Sr. and Mary Sue Bonner Hagler. He lived in Dothan prior to moving to Kinsey in 1992. At an early age, Mr. Hagler enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country during World War II. He was a member of the Kinsey Baptist Church and the DAV No. 87. Mr. Hagler was retired from Colonial Bread Company as Office Manager. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Brackin Hagler, and a brother, Jack Hagler.

   Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mickey Hagler Myatt (Gene), Pensacola, FL; a son, Don Wade Hagler, Kinsey; two brothers, Clyde Hagler, Jr. (Thelma), Dothan; and Roger Hagler (Martha), Mobile, AL; six grandchildren, Amanda Merideth (Robert), Ashley Walden (Kaylan), Heather Hasenfuss (Blake), Josh Hagler, Josie McArdle (Seth) and Cierra Hagler; seven great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Merideth, Savannah Merideth, Jonathon Merideth, Braxton Walden, Colton Walden, Kellan Hasenfuss and Raley Ann Hasenfuss; two great-great-grandchildren, Skylar Copley and Serena Williams; a special canine friend, “Ive”.
