KINSEY, ALABAMA. . .David Elisha Perryman, a resident of Kinsey, died Wednesday afternoon, July 14, 2021, in the Chautauqua Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was 77.


   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 17, 2021, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Sam Williams officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. (EDT), Saturday, in the Benevolence Cemetery, Benevolence, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Headland.


   Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.


   Mr. Perryman was born and reared in Benevolence, Georgia. He was a 1962 graduate of Cuthbert High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Music from Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia. Mr. Perryman retired from GTE as a lineman after thirty years employment. He was a member of the Kinsey United Methodist Church. Mr. Perryman was preceded in death by his father, Elisha Godfrey Perryman, Jr., his mother, Perla Mae Holland, his step-father, Julian Holland, and a half-brother, Godfrey Lamar Perryman.


   Surviving relatives include a daughter, Amy Blackstone (Rueben Poole), Kinsey, AL; two grandchildren, Adam Tyler Perryman (Kaeci), and Haley Marie Gresham; seven great-grandchildren; a first cousin, George Holland and his wife, Sue, Dothan; and a special first cousin, Paul Holland and his wife, Phillis, Midland City.
