David Henry Strength

David Henry Strength, a resident of Cottonwood, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at a local hospital. He was 55.

David was born on May 27, 1967 in Pensacola, Florida. He was a talented painter by trade. He painted many businesses and homes all over Dothan. When David wasn’t working, he could be found in his shop or at the track, drag racing with his family and friends. David was an avid Alabama Fan, he rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on or to listen to the Crimson Tide Sports Network, Roll Tide!

David was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Strength and Lou Cunningham; his son, Joshua Strength; his granddaughter, Kourtney Neveah Strength; and his sisters, Joy Thomas and Pat Sutton.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Theresa Strength; his sons, Johnathon (Sabrina) Strength and Justin “Doc” (Hannah) Strength; his grandchildren, Hunter Strength, Alex Strength, Kade Strength, Allie Strength, Gracie Strength, John David Strength, Maggie Strength, Braydyn Strength and Emma Strength; his sister, Cathy (Jerry) Crawford; his mother-in-law, Marie Blount; his brother-in-law, Scott Bolin; special friends, Pete Curry, Tony Johnson, Don Trimnel, Javoid Streety and Michael Bright; and a host of extended family members and friends.
