David Michael Dick


David Michael Dick, age 65 of Dothan, passed away late Tuesday evening, April 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of DaySpring Hospice.


Family First Funeral Care is providing a Simple Cremation at the request of the family and a memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced. Additional information may also be obtained at www.familyfirstfuneralcare.com.


David was born in Dothan on November 23, 1955. He lived his formative years in Enterprise and then lived in various other places before his return to Dothan in 1992. David worked in residential construction all his life, eventually owning, and operating his own business, David Dick Construction Company until his health forced him into retirement. In his early years, David liked to surf, enjoyed going hunting and he became known as a great grill master and everyone loved his food.


Davis is survived by his wife, Rebecca Dick of Dothan; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ruth Leopard of San Diego, CA, Sarah (Michael) Axtell of Dothan, and  Sydni (Nathan) Adams and their children, Noah, Sadie and Atticus of Dothan; his granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Victoria (Ethan) Curtis of Midland City. David is also survived by a nephew, Brent (Mindy) Walden, and daughter, Abby, of Auburn; a niece and her partner, Lisa (Carolyn) Brown of Lake Charles, LA, and a close family friend, Joshua Sanchez of Cottonwood.
