David Wayne Thompson, age 73, of Enterprise, AL passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Medical Center Enterprise.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 P.M. EST, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with Chaplain Jared Vineyard officiating.

Lucky served his country in the Vietnam War and was a good husband, father and friend.

He was preceded in death by his son David Thompson, Jr. and sister Gale Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Thompson, Enterprise, AL; six daughters, Terrie Taylor (Marty), Bonifay, FL; Tammie Anderson (Gabe), Ebro, FL; Cathy Chestnut, Graceville, FL; Lori Chestnut (Lewis), Vancleave, MS; Becky Monaghan (Brian), Lothian, MD; Amy Manship (Tony), Chipley, FL; sister, Nancy Kellum (Robert), Bonifay, FL; three granddaughters, Chasity Hilty (Luther), Tiffany Gates (Luke), and Harley Ray Owens; five grandsons, Travis Newsome (Elissa), Lawson Mowbray (Liliana), Kody Pelham (Lori), Brandon Walsingham (Rachel) and Braidan Monaghan; several great grandchildren.
