Deborah “Debbie” Kay Batchelor, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2021, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was 63.


A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on January 8, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home chapel with pastor Aaron Barnes officiating.


Debbie was born on August 11, 1957 to Charles and Emma Sizemore. She lived most of her life in Dothan and Midland City. Debbie met Eddie Batchelor in 1976 and they shared 44 years of love together. To that union they have two children. Debbie was a kind and compassionate person, who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling and playing golf with her husband. Debbie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.



Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Sizemore Sr.



She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Eddie Batchelor; her son, Adam Batchelor; her daughter, Heather Rash; her two grandchildren, Nathan Rash and Haley Templeton; her mother, Nell Sizemore; her brother, Chuck (Tallie) Sizemore; her three sisters, Mary Beth (Allen) Brackin, Mona Moore, and Linda Collins.
