Debra Jan (Lovie) Jenkins Dietmeyer of Samson, AL passed away at her home on December 3, 2023. She was 71 years old.

Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Pastor Lisa Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Samson Senior Center in Lovie’s memory.

Lovie was born in Opp, Alabama to Helen Lanell Crews Jenkins and the late Clarence Jonathan Jenkins “Buck”.

Lovie was a graduate of Samson High School. She worked for various companies throughout her career and ended her career with Schutz Insurance. Lovie was well-known for her love of Auburn Football and was a loyal Samson Tiger fan. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball.

In addition to being preceded in death by her father, Clarence (Buck) Jenkins, a brother-in-law, Sammy Whigham, also preceded her.

She is survived by her mother, Nell Jenkins Chambers of Samson, AL; one daughter, Debra Mosley Christian (Tom) of Daleville, AL; two grandchildren, Hagen Brewer (Bailey Johnson) of Headland, AL and Hanna Brewer (Jaden Brown) of Enterprise, AL; three great-grandchildren, Natalie Brown, Chloie Brown, and Banks Brewer; 6 siblings, Jill Whigham, Jack Jenkins (Sharon), Julie Ward (Dennis), Jenny Bowden (Leon), Joe Jenkins (Traci), Jim Jenkins; countless nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Following the service, the family invites you back to Lovie’s home for a time of fellowship.
