WICKSBURG. . .Dewey A. Enfinger, a resident of Wicksburg, died early Saturday morning, February 5, 2022, at his home. He was 79.

Graveside services will  be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 7, 2022, in the Newton City Cemetery with Pastor Michael Senn officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremation in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Mr. Enfinger was born and reared in Hartford, son of the late Buster Enfinger and Sabie Lee Enfinger. He was a graduate of the Geneva County High School in Hartford and attended Wallace Community College. Mr. Enfinger formerly lived in Hartford and Newton before moving to Wicksburg in 1985 He was retired from DynCorp International at Fort Rucker as an Aircraft Structural Mechanic. Mr. Enfinger was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Marie Roberts Enfinger; a daughter, Teresa Tripp, Florida; three step-children, Marcia Duke (Keith), Newton; Joseph Clevinger (Dimple), Banks, AL; and Deanna Clevinger, Newton, AL; a sister-in-law, Betty Enfinger, Noma, FL; a brother-in-law, Raymond Benton, Arizona; three grandchildren Blake Tripp, Payton Tripp and Dillon Tripp; two great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.   

Serving as active pallbearers will be Keith Duke, Logan Johnson, Matt Godwin, Jordan Mallory, Ronnie Clark and Joe Clevinger.
