Dolores Anita Grace of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and formerly of Geneva County, AL passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was 76 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jack Chancey officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Anita was born in Kissimmee, FL on December 13, 1945 to the late John Ervin and Myrtle Hughs Collins. She worked many years at the Samson Piggly Wiggly and the Geneva IGA/ Magnolia Market. She later worked for R.J. Reynolds company. Anita had an infectious smile and was a true public servant to her community. She found great joy in taking care of her customers and enjoyed talking to each one of them.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Reed, and an infant brother.

She is survived by three daughters, Debi Ann Grimes (Johnny) of Samson, AL, Dolores Shehee (Greg) of Samson, AL, and Dana Spradlin (Sean) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; loving companion of 31 years, Bobby Grace of Samson, AL; nine grandchildren, Kristin Shehee of Samson, AL, Justin Shehee of Samson, AL, Jonathan Whatley of Dallas, TX, Jennifer Whatley of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Megan Bass of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Tyler Thompson of Samson, AL, Marcus Grimes of Clayhatchee, AL, Haylee Grimes of Samson, AL, and Megan Grimes of Daleville AL; five great grandchildren, Garrett Shehee, Grayson Shehee, Jude Whatley, Gage Whatley, and Bodhi Thompson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Shehee, Johnny Grimes, Tyler Thompson, Pat Teeter, Michael Teeter, Scott Padgett, Taylor Ray White, and Craig McCullough.
