Don Bowdin, age 86, of Canton, GA. passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at his residence. He mostly farmed and worked at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He moved to Georgia and managed a large hog operation for Haley Farms. After the hog farm closed, he started a new career in water management. He retired from Cherokee County Water Authority at the age of 79.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the chapel of Warren Hollway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with Bro Philip Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m.

He was preceded in death by his parents Margie and Roy Bowdin; daughter, Donna Bowdin; stepson, Jim Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bowdin; son, Kris Bowdin; stepdaughter, Kim Henderson (Skip); grandchildren, Cara Morris (Philip), Brooke, Bree, and Peyton Henderson; and Ashlea Williams; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Harper, and Beau Morris, Kingston Henderson, and Ja’Michael Brown; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.
