Donald Earl “Don” Clay, a resident of Dothan passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his residence. He was 59 years old.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Westgate Church of Christ for Transform Central Prison Ministries.


Don was born November 30, 1958 in Florida and moved to Enterprise at an early age. He was a graduate of Enterprise High School and served in the U.S. Army for 4 years. He was later employed as an over the road truck driver for several years and moved to Dothan in 2013. He married Margo in 2015. He loved to play music and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Don was a huge Alabama Football fan; he loved the Crimson Tide. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time at the beach.


Survivors include his wife Margo Clay; his mother, Linda (Joe) Precise; brother, Paul Clay; sister, Christy (Daryl) Hawk; several nieces and nephews.
