BAKERHILL. . .Donald G. Altman, Sr., a resident of Bakerhill, Alabama, died Wednesday afternoon, April 14, 2021,  in a Dothan hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was 59.

   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 17, 2021, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Joe Vickers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Abbeville.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36311.

   Mr. Altman was born in Dothan and was reared in LaBelle, Florida, son of the late Roy Paul Altman, Sr. and Ellen Lavinia Story Altman. He lived in Abbeville before moving to Bakerhill in 2016. Mr. Altman was employed by Wiregrass Construction Company as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Altman.

   Surviving relatives include his wife, Jessie Lomaneck Altman; a daughter, Angel Altman (David Vickers), Ozark; a son, Gene Altman, Jr. (Katie), Huntsville; a sister, Chris Fulton (Jonathan), Ft. Gaines; two brothers, Paul Altman and Danny Scott, both of West Palm, Florida; a granddaughter, Cassidy Ryan Altman.
