Donald Joseph Branton, DVM passed away on Friday, May 9th, 2014 at the age of 67 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Howard Branton and his mother, Mildred B. Branton. He is survived by his brother, Allen of Dothan. Visitation will be held Friday, May 16th from 1-2 p.m. at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rehobeth Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

Don had a great love of animals, the veterinary profession and Auburn University.  He was loved by his clients for the compassionate care he provided. To his faithful friends, his physician Diana Mancuso, Covenant Hospice of Marianna, as well as his special caregiver Melissa, he wished to share his sincere gratitude for the loyalty, concern and care shown throughout his life and especially during the time of his illness.
